Alexander Milton from Bright Gambit was a guest on the CGDA server today and introduced the video game incentive fund to our members. They invest up to around €300,000 and their founders are industry veterans and have decided to give back to the industry by funding interesting, culturally diverse (diverse) games that tell stories that are not often told (be it related to certain cultures and the like). If the team does not yet have a prototype, they sometimes finance the development from idea to prototype.
